Buffalo Foundation

The Buffalo Foundation, formerly known as the Stanley County School Foundation, was originally established in 1995 but has been inactive. The Mission of the Buffalo Foundation is to provide resources to enhance educational opportunities for students in the Stanley County School District. It will play a significant role through grants for innovations in teaching and special programs. Working in partnership with educators, students, alumni, parents and community friends, the Buffalo Foundation will provide support for programs and resources, which are beyond the scope of the regular school budget.

A local group of citizens and school staff have come together to revitalize the Foundation. We have a dedicated group committed to maintaining an active Buffalo Foundation to help current students and teachers in a challenging educational world.

The Buffalo Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt philanthropic organization of citizens that share a vision of enhancing education in Stanley County and working to increase private support for educational activities. We adhere to the District's vision of "preparing and challenging students to become lifelong learners and productive citizens in a global society."

Technology
An ever-changing, but valuable educational tool. Limited resources determine what we can do.

General Foundation Fund
Revenues in this fund will be used to provide some discretionary funds for projects approved by the foundation board of trustees.

Vocational Education
Revenues will be used for expanding the technical-vocational programs. New equipment and start up costs are needed to update the curriculum.

Endowment
An endowment fund is being established in which the interest earned on the fund balance may be spent on special projects.

Media Center
The need will exist at the middle school and high school for more books, technology, and furniture.

Music Department
Supporters of the music department have donated money toward the purchase of band uniforms. Additional donations will be used for the purchase of equipment, performance attire, and educational trips.

Scholarships
Scholarship donations are being accepted to form an ongoing fund that will benefit graduating students.
