School Board Meeting
May 5, 2001

The Stanley County School District, #57-1, Board of Education met in special session May 5, 2001, 7 P.M., in the study hall of the high school building with Charlene Foster, Steve Brown, Gary Johnson, Mary Beth Fravel and John Bucholz present.    Visitors included Larry Jaske.

 

President Charlene Foster called the meeting to order at 7 P.M.

 

President Charlene Foster led the pledge of allegiance.

 

The Board discussed the procedure to select a new secondary principal and a new elementary principal.  The Board agreed to include four middle/high school staff members and four middle/high schools students drawn at random to be included in the interview process for the secondary principal position.  The elementary principal position will also include four elementary staff members and four elementary students to be drawn at random to be included in the interviews.

 

Brown moved, seconded by Johnson, to go into Executive Session according to SDCL 1-25-2 for personnel reasons at 7:20 P.M.  All voted aye.

 

President Charlene Foster declared the Board out of Executive Session at 8:37 P.M.

 

Brown moved, seconded by Fravel, to adjourn at 8:38 P.M.  All voted aye.
