The Stanley County School District, #57-1, Board of Education met in Special session October 15, 2012, 12:15 P.M., in the Superintendent’s Office located K-2 Elementary Building with Sarah Carter, Gary Johnson, Nicole Prince, Tina Titze, and Rick Cronin present. Others in attendance were Superintendent Don Hotalling, Business Manager Jessi Fromm, Principals Michelle Glodt, and Timothy Hollar . Visitors were Lance Nixon, and Scott Sikkink attended via conference call. President Carter called the meeting to order at 12:17 P.M. President Carter led the Pledge of Allegiance. Johnson moved, seconded by Prince, to adopt the agenda as presented. All voted aye. Sikkink discussed the soil testing and process of the building project with the Board. Carter nominated Prince, seconded by Cronin as the delegate to attend the Delegate Assembly on November 16, 2012. All voted aye. The board discussed the 2012-2013 Advocacy platform and decided what recommended resolution they supported and did not support. Prince will use this information at the Delegate Assembly. Tina moved, seconded by Prince, to approve the contract between the Stanley County School District and Sharpe Enterprises for the K-2 Building project with the additions: alternate 2, 3, and 5 to say “Furnish and Install”, and the signatures of the Board names are correct.
