Special School Board Meeting

The Stanley County School District, #57-1, Board of Education met in Special session July 26, 2012, 3:15 P.M., in the Library at the High School / Middle School Building with Sarah Carter, Gary Johnson, Tina Titze, and Rick Cronin present. Nicole Prince arrived at 3:23 P.M. Others in attendance were Superintendent Don Hotalling and Business Manager Jessi Fromm. Visitors were Jeri Wilcox, John Latham, Barb Rose, Crystal Domke, Krystal Simons, Linda Clair, and Michelle Glodt.

President Carter called the meeting to order at 3:19 P.M.

President Carter led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Titze moved, seconded by Cronin, to adopt the agenda as amended. All voted aye.

Titze moved, seconded by Johnson, to approve Resolution 2013-1:

Due to time constraints, the Stanley County Board of Education resolves to temporarily suspend Board policy 2.18, section C, subsection 4b allowing all five (5) Board members to serve on the selection and interview committee for the express purpose of interviewing elementary principal candidates.  Suspension of this policy is in effect until such time as the Board officially hires an elementary principal in July or August of 2012.

All voted aye.

Johnson moved, seconded by Cronin, to go to Executive Session according to SDCL 1-25-2 for personnel purposes at 3:26 P.M.  All vote aye.

President Carter declared the Board out of Executive Session at 7:39 P.M.

Johnson moved, seconded by Cronin, to adjourn at 7:40 P.M. All voted aye.
