Special School Board Meeting

28, 2012

The Stanley County School District, #57-1, Board of Education met in special session February 28, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. in Middle School Learning Center  with Nicole Prince, John Duffy, Sarah Carter Tina Titze, and Darby Nutter present. Others in attendance were Superintendent Don Hotalling, Business Manager Jessi Fromm, Principals Timothy Hollar and Brian Hartwig, and Special Education Director Krystal Simons.  Visitors included Shirley Swanson, Jennifer Milliken, Rick Cronin, Linda Brown, Darwin Reider, Toby Morris, Dean Marske, and Scott Sikkiuk.

 

President Nicole Prince called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M.

President Nicole Prince led the Pledge of Allegiance

Carter moved, seconded by Titze to adopt the agenda as amended. All voted aye.

Business Manager Jessi Fromm administered the oath of office to board member Darby Nutter.

 

Prince appointed the following members to the Ad Hoc Building Committee: Dr. Hotalling, Brian Hartwig, Krystal Simons, John Duffy, Anita Wyly, Matt Jensen, Lori Gloe, Sarah Lutz, Shawn Leafgreen, Bob Iverson, and Darby Nutter. Prince asked the committee to invite the fine arts staff, lunch staff, public and other staff to participate.

 

Prince thanked everyone for their involvement in the building project.   

 

Dean Marske presented the updated timeline for the building project.

 

Toby Morris from Dougherty and Company presented a proposal for providing Bond Underwriting Services for Stanley County School District for the building project.


Darwin Reider from D.A. Davidson & Co. presented a proposal for providing Bond Underwriting Services for Stanley County School District for the building project.

Prince declared a short recess at 8:46 P.M.

Titze moved, seconded by Nutter to go into Executive Session according to SDCL 1-25-for contract reasons at 8:53 P.M.  All voted aye.

President Nicole Prince declared the Board out of Executive Session at 9:04 P.M.

Nutter moved, seconded by Titze to appoint Dougherty & Company LLC as Stanley County School Bond Service Vendor.

Titze moved, seconded by Carter to adjourn at 9:06 P.M. All voted aye.
