Special School Board Meeting

The Stanley County School District, #57-1, Board of Education met in Special session December 17, 2012, at 4:00 P.M.,  in the Library of the Middle High School with Sarah Carter, Gary Johnson, Nicole Prince, and Tina Titze present. Rick Cronin arrived at 4:13 P.M. Others in attendance were Superintendent Don Hotalling, Business Manager Jessi Fromm, Principals Michelle Glodt, and Timothy Hollar. Visitors were Shirley Swanson, Audrey Jones, John Pederson, Tony Mangan, and Tom Oster attended by teleconference.

President Carter called the meeting to order at 4:02 P.M.

President Carter led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Titze moved, seconded by Johnson, to adopt the agenda. All voted aye.

Tom Oster, and John Pederson discussed the services Dakota Education Consultant would provide to the District. They also discussed the process they would go through to assist in the hiring of the Superintendent.

Titze moved, seconded by Prince, to approve the contract with Dakota Education Consultant. All vote aye.

Tom Oster and John Pederson discussed the timeline they would follow, the questions to ask, and the salaries and benefits that may be offered to the Superintendent.  The Board of Education will determine a salary range at the January Board meeting.

Mrs. Fromm presented two quotes for the Dish Table, Walk-in Cooler / Freezer, Oven, and Work Table for the kitchen. Reinhart gave a quote of $37,380.00, will not assist in the installation and the set up of the equipment, and CWD gave a quote of $37,341.03, and will assist in the installing and set up of the equipment.  

Prince moved, seconded by Johnson, to approve the quote from CWD in the amount of $37,341.03 for the kitchen appliance equipment. All voted aye.

Johnson moved, seconded by Prince, to adjourn at 5:13 P.M.
