The Stanley County School District, #57-1, Board of Education met in special session October 5, 2011., in the Middle High School Learning Center with Sonny Harrowa, John Duffy, Karen Sharp, and Sarah Carter present. Nicole Prince attended by telephone. Others in attendance were Superintendent Don Hotalling and Business Manager Jessi Fromm. Visitors were Shirley Swanson, Tina Titze, Lori Hall, and Kelly McCollam .
President Sonny Harrowa called the meeting to order at 5:32 P.M.
President Sonny Harrowa led the pledge of allegiance.
Duffy moved, seconded by Sharp to adopted the agenda as amended.
Duffy moved, seconded by Carter, to go into executive session according to SDCL 1-25-2 for personnel reasons at 5:34 P.M. All voted aye.
The executive session was held in the High School Principal Conference room, so Mrs. Prince could conference call in.
President Sonny Harrowa declared the Board out of executive session at 8:23 P.M.
Sharp moved, seconded by Duffy, to appoint Tina Titze to fill the position school board position until June 30, 2012. All voted aye.
Duffy moved, seconded by Prince, to adjourn at 8:26 P.M. All voted aye.
