Stanley County
School Board Meeting
September 26, 2007

The Stanley County School District, #57-1, Board of Education met in special session September 26, 2007, 6:30 P.M. at the Pizza Ranch in Fort Pierre with Sonny Harrowa, Mork Norman, John Duffy and Darby Nutter present. Bridget Miller was absent. Others in attendance were Superintendent Brad Caldwell and Business Manager Kevin Merscheim. Visitors included members of the Fort Pierre City Council and the Stanley County Commission.

President Sonny Harrowa called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss current issues among the Stanley County School District, the City of Fort Pierre and the Stanley County Commission. Items discussed were the proposed highway project scheduled for next year and the safety issues for children, the need for new facilities at the school and sporting facilities for the community. Also discussed was the availability of the Oahe Cable Television Channel broadcasting city, county and school meetings. It was agreed to have a joint meeting when the highway proposals are made public and then to have semi-annual meetings.

Duffy moved, seconded by Nutter, to adjourn at 8:15 P.M. All voted aye.
