Special School Board Meeting
June 27, 2007

The Stanley County School District, #57-1, Board of Education met in special session June 27, 2007, 12:05 P.M., in the superintendent’s office of the elementary building with Sonny Harrowa, Darby Nutter, Mork Norman and John Duffy present.  Bridget Miller was absent.  Others in attendance were Superintendent Brad Caldwell and Business Manager Kevin Merscheim.  Visitors were Rebecca Cruse and Guy Hunter.
 

President Sonny Harrowa called the meeting to order at 12:05 P.M.

 

President Sonny Harrowa led the pledge of allegiance.

 

The Board canvassed the results of the 2007 school board election, held on June 19, 2007.  The results of the election are as follows:
 

            One-Year Term

              Scott Deal                           118

              Mork Norman                       121

 

Duffy moved, seconded by Nutter, to declare no discrepancies in the election results after the official canvas of the 2007 school board election of June 19, 2007.  All voted aye.

 

Superintendent Brad Caldwell distributed proposed handbooks with updated changes for the 2007-2008 school year.

 

Guy Hunter requested approval for the purchase of a new marquee for the Parkview building.  The sign will be donated, but the Stanley County School District would be responsible for the installation and electrical hookups.  The Board authorized Guy Hunter to proceed with the project.  Guy Hunter also reported on the summer camps and activities for athletics at the Stanley County facilities.

 

Duffy moved, seconded by Nutter, to adjourn at 12:39 P.M.  All voted aye.
