School Board Meeting
January 26. 2006
The Stanley County School District, #57-1,
Board of Education met in special session January 26,
2006, 5:30 P.M., in the High School Learning Center with
Gary Johnson, Bridget Miller, Darby Nutter, John Bucholz
and Mork Norman present. Also in attendance were
Superintendent Larry Jaske and Business Manager Kevin
Merscheim.
President Gary Johnson called the meeting to order at
5:30 P.M.
President Gary Johnson led the pledge of allegiance.
Nutter moved, seconded by Bucholz, to adopt the agenda
as amended. All voted aye.
President Gary reported the Pierre School District
proposal to combine superintendent services between the
two schools. The prorated costs, projected savings and
the time required by the superintendent to be present at
each school district were discussed.
Miller moved, seconded by Nutter, to not pursue the
informal Pierre School District superintendent proposal
for sharing the services for the office of the
Superintendent between the Pierre School District and
the Stanley County School District. All voted aye.
Bucholz moved, seconded by Norman, to go into Executive
Session according to SDCL 1-25-2 for personnel reasons
at 5:55 P.M. All voted aye.
President Gary Johnson declared the Board out of
Executive Session at 8:27 P.M.
Miller moved, seconded by Norman, to adjourn at 8:28
P.M. All voted aye.
