Stanley County

The Stanley County School District, #57-1, Board of Education met in special session March 3, 2004, 6 P.M., in the Learning Center of the Middle/High School building   with Gary Johnson, Mitch Norman, John Bucholz and Bridget Miller present.  John Moisan was absent.  Also in attendance was Business Manager Kevin Merscheim. Visitors included Mork Norman, Kara Deal and Michael Cornelison.

President Gary Johnson called the meeting to order at 6 P.M.

President Gary Johnson led the pledge of allegiance.

President Gary Johnson explained the ground rules for candidates interviewing for the vacant position of school board member John Moisan.

Bucholz moved, seconded by Miller, to go into Executive Session according to SDCL   1-25-2 for personnel reasons at 6:04 P.M.  All voted aye.

President Gary Johnson declared the Board out of Executive Session at 8:04 P.M.

Norman moved, seconded by Miller, to appoint Michael Cornelison to fill the vacant school board position of John Moisan until July 12, 2004. All voted aye. 

Norman moved, seconded by Bucholz, to adjourn at 8:05 P.M.  All voted aye.
