Stanley County School Board Meeting
October 12, 1999

The Stanley County School District, #57-1, Board of Education met in special session October 12, 1999, 3:47 P.M., in the computer lab of the elementary building with Steve Brown, Charlene Foster, Arlene Poncelet, David Carlisle and Peggy Tibbs present. Also in attendance was Superintendent Jerry Kleinsasser. Visitors included Charles Thompson, Mary Hughes, Stan Whiting and Carla Bachand.

The meeting was called to order by President Steve Brown at 3:47 P.M.

Carlisle moved, seconded by Foster, to go into Executive Session according to SDCL 1-25-2 for personnel reasons at 3:48 P.M. All voted aye.

President Steve Brown declared the Board out of Executive Session at 6:50 P.M.

Carlisle moved, seconded by Foster, pursuant to the Order of the Circuit Court dated August 24, 1999, the Board confirms that it would have terminated the contract of Mary Hughes as a counselor for the district for the sole violation of contacting the parents of the child referred to as "M.B." in the South Dakota Supreme Court decision filed on May 26, 1999. All voted aye.

Foster moved, seconded by Tibbs, to adjourn at 6:51 P.M. All voted aye.
