GOLDfamilies -
I am very happy to announce that
SC GOLD will conduct an on-site
summer program from June 8 -
June 26 & July 6 - Aug. 7 for
2019-2020 Jk - 8th graders.
(Yes - we have a new option for
6th -8th graders!) The on-line

Please complete your
application online and submit as
soon as possible. Speedy
applications will help me get
the GOLDstaff scheduled.
We have used CDC guidelines and
information provided by other
childcare and government
organizations in our program
design. However, as
always, it is up to you as
parents to decide what is best
for your children. There
is no way GOLD or any
organization or person involved
in GOLD can guarantee that a
child, staff person or others
will not aquire COVID-19.
We can only do our best to avoid
it. If keeping your
children out of GOLD for the
summer is what is best for your
family, we understand and hope
to see them this fall.
Some of you may find it
important to know that based
upon a number of sources, we are
not requiring staff or GOLDkids
to wear masks.
For those who do attend, we will
be outside nearly all of the
time. We hope to do alot
of playing in parks, riding
bikes, gardening, some more
horseback riding, hiking, and
much more. And swimming --
the City of Fort Pierre intends
to open the pool!
Prior to June 8, you will
receive our summer handbook and
be asked to read and sign it.
